Colin Smith
Principal
Colin is a founding principal of GCP and serves as President at ATIS, a Greenleaf portfolio company. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a background in accounting, finance, and consulting. Prior to founding Greenleaf, Colin was the Vice-President of Finance at Kataman Metals, a global metal merchant with annual revenue in excess of $1 billion. In that capacity, Colin was responsible for all financial and treasury reporting, internal controls, and risk management across the company’s trading and non-trading divisions.
Colin also has experience with the public accounting firm Lopata, Flegel & Company where he worked in the tax, assurance, and small business practices. Prior to that, he was an accountant at McGladrey, where he provided transaction support services to buyers and sellers of middle-market companies with transaction values ranging from $3 million to $200 million.
Colin received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He lives in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife and children.
