Wayne “Chip” Smith
Principal
Chip is a founding principal of GCP and serves as President and CEO of ATIS, a Greenleaf portfolio company. He is an attorney and licensed real estate agent in Missouri. Prior to founding Greenleaf, Chip advised corporate clients on M&A transactions, entity formation, and real estate matters through a St. Louis-based law firm. He was also affiliated with AHM Financial, a diversified financial services company headquartered in St. Louis. Chip has advised clients on an extensive array of complex corporate and real estate transactions with aggregate value in excess of $500 million.
Chip is a member of the Board of Directors of Smith McGehee Insurance Solutions and Sunnen Products Company, a manufacturer of industrial honing and testing equipment. He was an advisory board member of The Business Bank of St. Louis and holds board-level positions at various Greenleaf portfolio companies. Chip is also a Director of the Western Golf Association, an organization dedicated to promoting junior and amateur golf tournaments and scholarships for caddies with limited financial means.
Chip graduated from Denison University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and earned his Juris Doctor and MBA from Saint Louis University. He was born and raised in St. Louis and lives here with his wife and daughter.
